Meet Dr. Dietrich R. Lawrenz
Education
Dr. Lawrenz attended the University of Minnesota Dental School where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery with High Distinction. Following dental school, Dr. Lawrenz obtained his Medical Degree at the University of Texas-Houston, where he also completed his General Surgery internship and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency.
Employment History
Dr. Lawrenz has over 25 years of experience performing complex oral surgery procedures in the Twin Cities area. He has worked in private practice and as an independent contractor during this time, and has served on the University of Minnesota and Children’s Hospital Cleft Lip & Palate teams.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Lawrenz has extensive experience in orthognathic surgery and cleft lip and palate related surgeries. His current clinical focus is dentoalveolar surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery, dental implants, hard and soft tissue grafting procedures, and full-arch reconstruction (All-on-4, All-on-X).
Affiliations
Dr. Lawrenz is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a fellow on the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Lawrenz is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Basic Life Support.
He has authored several articles for the Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and has lectured at the University of Minnesota Dental School.
Hobbies/Interests
During his free time, Dr. Lawrenz enjoys playing golf and pickleball, and traveling.
